What is Cold Chain?
Cold chain refers to the temperature-controlled supply chain that maintains perishable products at specific temperatures from harvest to delivery. It involves refrigerated storage, reefer containers, and temperature monitoring throughout transit.
Why It Matters
For fresh produce, maintaining the cold chain is essential to preserve quality, extend shelf life, and reduce losses. Temperature abuse during transit can cause rapid quality deterioration, leading to rejected shipments and financial losses.
Our Cold Chain Process
We maintain cold chain integrity from farm to container: produce is pre-cooled after harvest, stored in refrigerated facilities, loaded into pre-cooled reefer containers, and monitored throughout transit. Temperature logs are available for buyers upon request.
Products Requiring Cold Chain
Products that benefit from cold chain include green chilies, okra, mangoes, lemons, and other perishable fruits and vegetables. Products like rice, dried turmeric, and garlic can be shipped in dry or ventilated containers.
